Guest guest
I had this same thing happen after giving my son " Seattle Brown Loaf " . I haven't bought another loaf yet and I haven't seen it since. I'm anxious to hear what is meant by coffee grounds because that's how my son's looked. I know several people who described this and discovered their answer was a bowel impaction, which your description reminded me because you said the specks " stuck " to his bottom. Does your child appear constipated or conversely very runny? If so, might be an impaction with runny bm leaking around the impaction. Some of the impaction, which would be dark/black and sticky, comes off into the diarrhea and comes out along with it. If you think this might be the cause, you should stop feeding that bread and try a glycerin suppository with your child to help move the impaction. If you suspect he is still impacted after another day or so, take him to have a bowel x-ray, this sort of impaction can be dangerous, if this is what he has.
