Medicare will cover your shower chair - but you probably do need a doctor's order. My husband broke his ankle in March and we had to have a shower chair; a wheel chair; crutches, etc. and Medicare covered everything for us. Take care, keeping you in my prayers, Dorothy Reinecke From: Joyce T Rosenberg <pinkrockybeach@ yahoo.com>To: breathe-support@ yahoogroups. comSent: Fri, November 6, 2009 7:36:09 PMSubject: shower chairs does anyone know if medicare pays for shower chairs? if so, do you need a prescription? i guess i should call a local medical supply company or ask the doctor any advise on shower chairs? or are they all basically the same? thanks for your answers Pink Joyce R (IPF 3/06) IFA 5/09 Pennsylvania Donate Life Listed 1/09 Inactive 4/09 www.transplantfund. org
