Sue,It could just be a dirty ear, no offense, that a good 'spring clean' would help. My 21 year old nephew went to his father fearful that he was loosing his hearing. His father put warm oil in his ears and he miraculously was cured! ; ) If you think it is adrenal related check here to see if you are truly on enough hydrocortisone www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info. You might have to search around a bit to find how to know, but I think it involves doing the body temp averages (3, 6, 9 hours after waking and then average them; do for 5 days).AmeliaTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sat, May 8, 2010 2:09:06 PMSubject: OT- adrenal fatigue questions/Amelia

Amelia,

Oh my, the itchy ears could be about adrenal issues ? My left ear

has been driving me crazy for a few months. Like PJ, I've assumed it

was allergies because mine usually happens in the spring.

I've had adrenal fatigue/insufficien cy for a long time but lately

I've been feeling better in that department-- -still on Hydrocortisone,

but not as much.

I did take Zyrtec a few days and it was much better, but today it's

itchy again.

Hmmm, something else to consider...though I don't know what I'd do any

differently. I'm convinced the adrenal issue won't be cured until my

gut is well enough to properly absorb all the nutrition it needs.

Hi Sue

Itchy ears are a symptom of hypothyroidism. Most people who have adrenal problems will have thyroid problems also. I have not had ithcy ears since starting dessicated thyroid. Look at the link below
