Hi Bruce,If you are interested in learning about yeast on SCD you should definitely read this page: http://pecanbread.com/p/how/yeast.html. Also check out the files here in this site. There is a Candida folder, read the info in there.

I'm pretty new here, so I can't really offer an explanation of what your

symptoms might be, but I'll share my yeast story and hope that helps you.I have Crohn's disease and before I started SCD all my pain was in my ileum (very lower right side) and I had nausea. After I was on SCD for a while I started getting bloating/cramping feelings in my esophagus, chest, and stomach after I ate. And then when I would eat a lot of sugar (say, raw banana) I would get pretty intense cramping under my rib cage and in my back. Also, my ileum pain increased significantly over time to the point where drinking grape juice and chicken broth was all I could handle, and even that was painful. I was never tested for yeast, but within two days of starting the Candida diet I started feeling much better.

I hope you feel better!~CD, SCD 02/21/2010

Hi:

A lot of people here talk about eating too much honey and feeding yeast causing their overgrowth. When this does happen, how do the symptoms manifest for those of you have had this? I recently ate too much of something, possibly honey, and I'm having uncomfortable sensations 'down there'. Anybody else?

Thanks,

Bruce
