Does anyone know if you get a prescription from your doctor for the

Kirkman's vitamins. Will Medicaid pay for them? Also a Behavior Analyst and

a nutritionist familiar with GFCF diet? Food allergy testing?

Thanks,

April

We have seen Peta Cohen (? on last name) at the Total Life Center in

Englewood, NJ. Her phone number is 201 541-7601 and email is

Info (AT) TotalLifeCenter (DOT) I found her name on list of DAN practitioners-of

course I can't find address right now, but I got the address initially from

this list-maybe check archives? I know that she does phone consultations

also, a conference call from a patient out of state came through at the end

of our session. Also, it seems as if a lot of families from the Mosaic list

(local gfcf list) use her. She seems knowledgeable and agressive, but we

only saw her once (and came home with $200 worth of supplements!) I need to

see her a few more times to adequately judge. Helene Sorry vague with some

details, I'm trying to accomplish a lot while boys nap

April,

Good luck!!! LOL Our ped. won't even DISCUSS Kirkman's vits. with us.

I know you can get a prescription for ABA, but think you have to

search for a dr to give you one. I tried to find a nutritionist who

knew more than I did(not much)about gfcf. No luck.Janelle

Traci,

I eagerly await the book!!! Today I visited my former elem. school I

taught in before kids and talked about vaccines with the school nurse

and asked the easiest way for exemption. She was very helpful, but

not supportive. I kept saying, but is that a lifelong condition(as a

result of an illness bc you weren't vaccinated)every time she brought

up problems not being vacc.like autism is? They just don't realize....

I know that paragraph made no sense whatsoever, but I am typing as

fast as I can as nap time is almost over. Jane has an MRI tomorrow

and I have to wake her early in the morning. I am so nervous..can you

tell by my rambling.???

Anyway, no, our ped. (we absolutely love) would not offer any advice

on any supplements as it was all out there in weirdo land as far as

she was concerned(this came from the nurse). We copied info and

asked her to look at it and told her we planned on trying the SNT, we

just wanted to know if there were risks from megadosing vit. We had

no clue at that point, just wanted to start intervention.Anyway, we

cont. to like her for a general ped. and reluctantly respect her

stance. I am afraid that is pretty common in the med. world. We just

go about our own research and hope for the best. Well, I hear the

munchkins....and this probably makes nooooo sense. I'll tell you all

how the MRI went tomorrow!!!Janelle
