Guest guest
, I would reiterate that you should exercise caution. I have been doing this for over 2 years now. The blood test does not detect the candida that is entrenched in your gut, waiting for an opportunity to flare up again. I have been heartbroken over and over again. And not from illegals, but things like cheese or cashew butter. Eat lots of fermented foods and give it time for your good flora to grow back again, that will keep candida in check. This from a girl that started the candida die-off all over again just this month, after 26 months of fighting it! Good luck! I have stuck to SCD fanatically since Dec 27th 2009. I had blood work done a week ago and the Dr said there is no traces of candida in my blood now!!! I beat the beast!!! So I was wondering how do I start incorpprating illegal foods back into my diet? ( such as a small amount of brown rice pasta or whole wheat bread) > Thank you!!! > > IBD-D > SCD 5 months >

If you start adding illegals now, the yeastie beasties and bad bacteria which have survived this starve out will come out and start multiplying. And because they're the survivors, they'll be MUCH harder to starve out the next time, if they get a foot hold. I've seen it happen too many times. Congratulations on beating them back to normal levels -- now you have to persevere and make sure they STAY at those levels! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
so unfair!!! lol - i am thrilled for you and wondering how much i can possibly have that's it's still in me after 2 years 4 months scd and 1 year of no honey fruit and tons of anti-fungals - ans still tons of yeast in my stool tests - don't know if i've ever had blood tests though?? have you ever had stool yeast cultures?? LOVE the way you are dx - you have a great doc to say IBS caused by candida!! SO many are unaware that it's the reason for most gut issues - i would not go illegal anytime soon though - 1 year symptom free for other stuff and I 'm guessing it'll grow again if you get too illegal or even too legal???? scary stuff this yeast!! eileen > > I had been suffering for months with IBS-D caused by a candida overgrowth.
