Guest guest
Dripped SCD yogurt is a good substitute for sour cream. I have used it with some dill with salmon. The noodles are out, but this would be good with zucchini " noodles " . PJ > > I was wondering if anyone can help me convert this recipe: What can be used in place of sour cream? Or course the noodles are out. Maybe this would be good on baked discs of butternut squash?? > > SALMON STROGANOFF > 4-6 oz. Wild Salmon fillets > 2 Tbs olive oil > 2 cloves minced garlic > 1 large onion chopped > 1 1-1/2 oz low fat sour cream > 1 8.5 oz jar sundried tomatoes in olive oil > ½ tsp salt > 1/8 tsp pepper > 1 12 oz bag large egg noodles > In a large skillet, cook Salmon in 1 tbs of olive oil about 5-10 minutes on each side or until center of salmon is fully cooked. Remove skin from salmon and discard. Place Salmon on plate and set aside. Place 1 tbs oil and onions in skillet and sauté until the onions are tender. > Break fillets into 1/8 pieces and add to onions. Drain sundried tomatoes and chop into ½ inch strips. Add to salmon and onions. Add salt and pepper. Cook on medium for 20 minutes. Stir in sour cream and cook 2 minutes. Serve with salad. I would put it on either zucchini noodles of the butternut discs you suggested. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

Guest guest
Is there a recipe to make 1/2 and 1/2 yogurt. Don't think I've ever seen one.You don't need one. You can use the same method for yogurt making with any type of milk, as long as the milk doesn't have anything else added.
