There's an obvious difference in taste between ripe and fairly unripe bananas. You could buy just one banana Larabar and see how it goes, if you really love banana. (Dr. Weil has his own line of a similar kind of bar -- also without sugar and SCD illegals, and his taste similar, including the banana ones.)n ______________________________A funny, touching gift book for cat lovers. Guest guest
I've been testing out making bars. Well for my family right now. I bought a big box of dates and then didn't know what to do with them until the Larabars discussion came up. I cooked the dates in some water and then blended them in a food processor. I then mixed in the trail mix (you could just use nuts/bananas/dried fruit) and put it in the dehydrator. My kids love them.Just a thought.michelleFrom: Holly Owens To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Thu, April 29, 2010 11:00:50 AMSubject: Re: Re: Lara Bars Thanks for the input, I will definately check out these places. Guest guest
Thanks. I've been interested in creating a homemade version of the fig Oskri bars, which are kind of expensive. This looks like it'll work as well. -- I've been testing out making bars. Well for my family right now.
