Amy, my guess is since you've lost 123 lbs. you've lost enough padding off your

feet to be shorter. I know everything size-wise has changed for me, even my

shoes. So why not some padding off the bottom of our feet? I'll have to go

measure.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post here. I usually post on just the ds_usc board

because it is hard enough to keep up with that board alone but,

tonight I have a big question and hope someone could shed some light

on it. Before surgery I was 5' 6 " . Today my partner had been

teasing me all day because I appeared shorter. Being sensitive about

it since I was short to begin with out came the measuring tape as

soon as we got home. I have shrunk just over a 1/2 inch. I know we

can loose bone mass if we do not properly supliment Calcium but, I am

only 5.25 months post op and have been diligently taking my Calcium.

Has anyone else dropped in height and do you know why it happens?

Measure yourself first thing in the morning. We're a quarter to a half

inch taller in the AM.

Then measure yourself before bed. Be amazed!

This is interesting,

I am 5'3 3/4 " or I was last time I was measured. Since

my surgery several people several who I have just recently met keep

referring to me as " being small " These people never seen me before my

surgery, if they had I would assume it was just due to the change in weight.

I was beginning to think maybe I had shrunk an inch or so, because I NEVER

really thought of myself as being small.I wear a size 6 1/2or 7 shoe and a 6

in a ring,is this what typically is considered small?

I responded to this yesterday morning about my concerns about shrinkage

I went to the DR yesterday afternoon, I asked them to measure my height out

of curiousity, and I am 5'3 " exactly, I was 5'3 3/4 " .Now the BIG mystery

is,,, When did I shrink??? LOL
