Guest guest
In the summer of 2000-------- There once was a fat woman from Nashville Who was really very miserable until, She heard about something that gave her hope So she no longer felt like such a dope. It was a surgery called the Duodenal Switch A weight loss solution fitting a certain `niche'. Wow, was it way to good to be true? You could eat what you want and lose weight too? Oh my, what a feeling she got! Finally an answer - surely not. All those years of trying the " right way " From doctors to therapy to things she couldn't say. All her efforts were met without long term success, Hopeless was her feeling she had to confess. And even when life seemed so unfulfilling She was open and oh so very willing To see if this weight loss surgery would be The answer so many touted gleefully. Her research led her to Ohio for a capped self-pay fee Dr. Maguire in Kettering was who she went to see. She let him cut her open and do his " magic " On this humble, but hopeful Tennessee hick. Then it was time for her recovery Without a single hitch it would not be... But it was far worth the beginning humps To have come this far over the bumps Oh my, yes it has been a whole year One she holds in her heart so dear She is no longer a fat woman from Nashville Feeling like she has no power or will She's a happy, healthy woman who wears a size 8 Who's lost 95% of her excess weight. She wakes up in the morning without dread Meets the day with joy and no longer feels dead For her, this surgery has done more than she can express It has simply given her life back & nothing less!
