Guest guest
BJ.... I thought about you last night, out in that storm. Gave me shivers again. Yes, I am aware of snow in the pass. Hopefully it won't be a problem during the days of your appt. My oldest granddaughter is 23 and the youngest is 11. I also have three grt/grands and another girl on the way. I suppose the coming winter will not be a good time for selling your house. We sold our house about 4 years ago and only seldom do I even think about it. We needed to get out from the expenses and upkeep. Our health was turning downward even then. MamaSher; 71, IPF 3-2006, OR.Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! I hope all goes well with your first visit and that you will find a friendly, knowledgeable lung man. But you know if you aren't happy, there are other qualified doctors near you. Take care of yourself and I'll be looking to hear some news. As i'll be traveling down to tomorrow for the Celtic Fest, I may not have access to a computer link as often as here, but I'll check in when I can and see if you have posted. Take care. Oh yes, notice I typed in blue like Mamasher? Since we are going to use blue for our color, I may start emailing to everyone in blue all the time. What do you think? Guest guest
I got my appointment this morning. They only had one left this year so I go on December 30th. I hope that the passes are passable. It is a bad time to have to go but you have to take what you can get. I'm not sure what I will do about the house. I'll probably just sign a new contract and keep it on the market. I hope you are getting reated from your move.Beverley Joy,71, UIP,NSIP 1-09,Diabetes,Sjogren's,Fibromyalgia Idaho From: jerryb888 <jerryb888 (AT) yahoo (DOT) com>Subject: Beverley JoyTo: Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. comDate: Tuesday, September 8, 2009, 8:54 PM Hello Beverley Joy, Am I right thinking you have an appointment with your new pulmonologist tomorrow the 9th? Guest guest
Sher, I still tired and sleepy but not as bad as I was. I did the laundry today. I am having problem with my eyes. I don't know whether to see my doctor or see an eye doctor. the last time I saw my doctor my blood pressure was high and she wanted to put me back on medicine. It has been low and I haven't needed meds so I told her I thought it was stress. I don't know if blood pressure will do it or not. The Imuran gave me pancreatitis. That was making me tired and sleepy. They took me off it in the hospital but I may still have some of it in my system. I feel like I have been whining and I know there are so many people worse off than I am.Beverley Joy,71, UIP,NSIP 1-09,Diabetes,Sjogren's,Fibromyalgia Idaho Come to think of it, when I was in ICU because of my biopsy, a friend called the nurses station and the nurse told her my diagnoses was "End Stage" pulmonary Fibrosis.... .Maybe the end stage is the fibrosis? Fibrosis being the end stage of ILD. Joyce Rudy AZ birds Re: Definition Bruce, Dyanne and Bob, Yes I will be totally outraged if I die of something other than my lungs playing out. All the basis are covered as far as I know. The treadmill gets exercised daily, and I am known now as Uncle Nut or Nut Man, hopefully because I love raw nuts and fruits. Tyty Nursery will be sending 10 trees here, 6 of which are pecan trees. This should have happened 4 years ago, and now that I am as old as I have ever been, who knows if the pecan trees will bare before I cross the bar. When I read "end-stage" on my biopsy report, who would have imagined that I would be writing this 4 years out. Only my pulmo in New Orleans offered any sign of hope. My other 2 pulmonologists could have used the term "terminal" and not had any greater effect than end-stage. I should have stopped to thank my first two pulmos for being politically correct. Just didn't think of it.Jerry/Mississippi/ 54/IPF/dx April 05 > > > >> > > > Anyone know how the term end-stage is typically used in relation> to> > > this> > > > disease? Guest guest
Hi Beverley!Don't worry about being tired. You live with a chronic disease (PF) and your body is constantly trying to heal this condition. Plus you were attacked with another illness on top of this (pancreatitis) that you are still healing from. Plus the stress of the boating accident and trying to sell your house. You need the rest! It's okay! It takes more time for us to heal and bounce back from everything we encounter compared to a healthy person. There is no magic time period of when we should be well and ready to tackle our to-do-lists again. We are a nation of people who feel we must be "doing" something all the time and when our body's give out we think something is wrong. You are in a season of healing right now, resting and sleeping is what you need to be doing. I have to be there 20 minutes early so that will be 8:40. I can't seem to get well since I was in the hospital. I am still really itred and sleepy all of the time. I don't even feel like putting in earrings anymore. I hope I get better soon. I just feel like I can't cope with it much longer.Beverley Joy,71, UIP,NSIP 1-09,Diabetes, Sjogren's, Fibromyalgia Idaho Come to think of it, when I was in ICU because of my biopsy, a friend called the nurses station and the nurse told her my diagnoses was "End Stage" pulmonary Fibrosis.... .Maybe the end stage is the fibrosis?
