Guest guest
Our little guy have been in his helmet for 3 weeks now and he continues to have this problem with the band pushing down his right eyebrow to make his right eye squint. The right side is the side of his forehead that was bulging out, so I know there is going to be more pressure there and that the band can cause this, but it hasn't worked itself out yet. Should I contact our ortho about it or is it just normal? Anyone else have problems with the band pushing their child's eye down?
Guest guest
Hi, When first got her helmet I noticed that her left eye appeard to be droopy and looked smaller than her right. The orthotist told me to losten the helmet and the eye should go back. I did that and it helped but her eye still looked funny to me. We ended up at the pediatrician who said her eyes looked slightly different from each other. She suggested we get it checked by an Opthamologist. Well it turns out her eyelids are 1 mm different from each other probably because of her asymmetry. I'm happy we ended up at the eye dr. because it turned out had vision problems and needed glasses asap to prvent lazy eye and cross eyed. So the moral of my story is I'm happy the helmet made her eye droop because without that I would have never known she could not see and probably would not until she was much older. Good Luck.
