yeah, they work.

or if you have an oven light - you can use the oven with just the light on and

a bulb of 60 watts.

Those methods work. You can also get a non-electric cooler, and put a

cheap lamp socket in it with a 60 watt bulb, then place your covered

yogurt container next to it and cover it.

I recommend testing any of the alternative methods with water to be sure

you get the proper temperature before using it on your milk and starter!
