Jodie,

Here is a pic of Alyssa. Alyssa was born at 35wks at 2lbs 8oz. She now

weighs 27lbs and is 38.5 in and is 3 ½. She was diagnosed at 9months by the

head of Growth and Development at Kansas University Hospital. This will be

our 3rd year at the MAGIC convention. Words cannot express how MAGIC has

changed our lives. We continue to go each year because as Alyssa gets older

our focus has changed. The first year it was all about the calories. . .

how do we get this kid to grow. Last year it was all about our new gtube

and preparing for possible bone age advancement. Thank goodness we prepared

because this year it will be all about the early adrenarche as her bone age

is already advanced to 5 ½. Her bone age advanced 2 yrs in 6 months. The

membership allows us access to all of the newest research about RSS and

treating the symptoms. The convention provides support and networking with

families who have been where we are. IT’s so nice to be understood. . . and

not have your child be the smallest (all the time). . . to see other kids

with backpacks. . . to let your defenses down.

hi everyone!!

i know i posted this the other day but i only got a response from a few

so i want to post this message again!! i need pics of are beautiful

rss/sga kids and ADULTS for a diplay i want to have up during the

benefit breakfast and dinner. if possible write a short bio and a

statement about what it is like to be a member of magic and going to

convention(if you have been). i really want to be able to not only

raise funds for the scholarship fund but be able to educate the public

about rss andthe magic foundation!! please email me this info and pics

or email me and i can give you my address to mail it to me!! thanks

everyone trying to remember who's who

hey jamie that sounds good!! no i didnt talk to him yet i have to go

meet with him this week though and i will find out then!! also when i

get more tupperware catalogs on friday i will mail one out to you!!
