Guest guest
WOW Jackie you sound like me. I don't know when I last had mayo, butter, oh bacon, cream cheese, oh I can't wait to have this surgery 6 more days. Not long ago I had a small pork steak and did I suffer. I never had so much stomach cramps in my life I was absolutely miserable. I think its been atleast 8 years maybe more like 10 since I had anything meat that was fried. After surgery as soon as I can eat real food again I am going to have a pork steak fried in margarin with mushrooms and onions in my grandmothers cast iron skillet. OH YA. OH YA. , I had trouble eating pork or beef at first unless it was extremely tender. Filet Mignon, medium rare was good and barbecue ribs were wonderful. But fried meat was hard for me to digest for a few months. It wasn't the fat content that bothered me, just if the meat seemed to be hard for my tummy to break up. I hope you can eat what your heart desires. Best wishes to you! Jackie
Guest guest
Lisbeth, I occasionally have a problem also, but before I reach for the metamucil, I try a glycerin suppository. I find that this usually does the trick. Sometimes we don't realize that our water consumption isn't enough, so the suppository will get things moving and also lubricate. Rita B. Guest guest
I have never heard of glycerine suppositories...It seems that this morning the dam broke. I didnt think I could handle it for much longer granted now the pendulum is now swinging in the other direction.....Trying to figure this out should be REAL interesting! Thanks Rita! " When you are stopped up, you take it with lots of water, and when you are runny, you take it without water. Often works for me. Worth a try. --Steve --
