Guest guest
I don't know about manuka honey or special honeys, but I think the policy generally is with honey that the darker it is the more nourishing (usually)on the other hand, i hear SCDers need to avoid honey that has pollen it? Anyways, I just remember learning that really light, clear honey is a bad sign.Best Manuka honey? It's not black. It's in a dark container but the honey itself is a dark amber. That said, I use buckwheat honey sometimes for a more molasses type flavour and it's almost black and still just fine. I like manuka honey. I think it's actually helped me heal a bit. The taste is different than most honeys I try. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but I quite enjoy it now. Guest guest
Actually, in the BTVC, you are looking for light, clear honey that has been filtered--I can't remember about pasteurized though. SCD is light and clear. Anyways, I just remember learning that really light, clear honey is a bad sign.Best
Guest guest
Yeah, I think the BTVC was talking about honey with the concern of having bee pollen in it, which it says can aggrevate the gut. I mentioned that. I'd have to look it up again. But, as I was saying, outside of SCD I believe darker honey is considered better. I was mentioning the bee pollen concern as well. I really don't know how you determine decisively and throughout different types of honey whether or not their is and how much pollen in it, and I don't know for sure if there is a direct correlation with color and pollen content or not. I seriously doubt that's universal, but I don't know. Best So is the darker honey bad?__________________________________________________________________ CDSCD 6 monthsLialda, PurinetholFreeda Vitamins, L.
