Guest guest
Carole, You're still not hearing me. I am NOT urging people to go through with BPD. I AM saying question Ren, find out if the BPD she is touting is the SAME as the original (and if not, what improvements may have been developed), and if you are not interested, insist that you want the DS. As far as I know, she has not refused to do it yet. What I AM saying is she is an excellent surgeon; those procedures she does are done well, including the DS. It is up to the patient to make the ultimate decision as to what procedure they want and to either insist on that procedure OR find another surgeon. Marcia Dr. Ren patients.. I would like to talk to patients of Dr. Ren's please. I need feedback. Is anyone nervous about her decison not to do the DS but will do the BPD??? >> I still do not care in the least what Ren's motivations are and I still state my case - each and every person (as far as I can see) that is standing up for Ren's change is someone who already has had the BPD/DS. If the BPD is so great, then why are people crying when they can't get the DS? And why are they crying if the can only get the RNY when their insurance will approve that? I just do not understand why those of you who have had the DS do not seem to think that others are as worthy of it as you are. As for the one who said she got DS because she has a social calendar and goes out to eat with her husband for business meetings - excuse me, but I do not think that being in the social whirl makes DS more necessary. Those of us who eat at home like to eat things other than 1 tablespoon of chewed up food, also. Maybe I am most upset because I still haven't gotten approval for my surgery and I do not know if I will be as lucky as those of you who have had yours and don't seem to apppreciate it.
