Guest guest
I thought my son was the only kid in the world who would react the way your son did (freaking out because he didn't get to push the elevator button)! We're also going through a big yeast treatment and he doesn't cry, but his inappropriate laughing is back and some impulsiveness. Other than that and more frequent pooping, his behavior hasn't been too bad! Good luck to all the parents out there dealing with yeast die off. Guest guest
Dawn: We're going according to our DAN doctor's instructions. We did a bowel test through the Great Smokies lab testing for the presence of yeast and parasites (I think). They found a kind of candida that is apparantly resistant to nystantin. He also had clostridia. So our DAN doctor put him on Sporonox, Flagyl, and recommended that we also use Kirkman's Yeast Control, as well as a probiotic (we're using Kirkman's ProbioGold). So far, the results have been ok - just an occasional outburst and some more weird laughing than I like to see. After this round of treatment, I suppose we have him retested. This is all a precursor to doing chelation because my doctor says we shouldn't chelate when there are " nasty bugs " in my sons' intestinal tract. Please let me know if you have any more questions. The course of treatment depends, I think, on the kind of yeast that's been detected. Good luck. ( & Malachi's mom)
