Guest guest
Hi everybody- I need to blow some steam off to ya'll because I know you all can relate... ok- I made a orthopedic appt for Pippin 2 mo ago for Feb 21. With a new ortho Dr -our previous left the practice- no big deal-we'd only seen him once. On Feb 9th I received a LETTER stating that my appt has been cancelled and rescheduled for April 24 BECAUSE: " per notes in file, patient is to be followed up in 1 year. If problems please call . " So-I call and tell them she is having issues-and they tell me that the first avail appt is in April! So I call the ofc manager and let her know my problems and they are: When Pip was seen last April- she was not walking She is tippy toeing on her shorter side She is falling down Her stance is very very wide She isn't running (27 months old) Her PT says it's time for a lift Not to mention-the ofc canceling my appt without calling me to see if she did have a problem. And how DARE a Dr. (or dr assistant) just look in a chart and reschedule an appt. If my insurance will pay for an office visit---I'll go every Friday if I choose! So- the ofc mgr say's she'll relay this to the Dr. and see if she can get me in this month- (which I am demanding!) She calls me back shortly and says that even though Pip is having these problems - it wouldn't really benefit seeing her in Feb, because they won't do anything until 1 year anyway- OK- I don't believe that for 1 minute- you do things when you need it! And if that is the case- at least examine her -and then tell me that, -I might believe it- but would get another opinion. Long story short-I will not take Pippin to a doctor who won't let me have an appt when I say she needs to be seen! I'm livid! How dare them!??!!! I've got an appt with another ped ortho on March 1st. I can't wait to contact the other Dr and cancel my appt. maybe I won't --I'm sure if I tell them why, they probably do not care anyways! Thanks for listening- Jenyfer
