Guest guest
Bruising can be caused by a Vitamin K deficiency. Talk to your doc and get his opinion and then find out what he recommends for you to supplement. Question?? Hello, I am new to this group. I had open Ds on June 1st with Dr. Cliff Deveney in Portland, Or. My starting weight was 430lbs with a BMI of 66. Well I am 5 months out today and I have lost 112 lbs. It has been a remarkable experience. My only set back was an open incision that took almost 4 months to close. I had my blood work done last week and all was great. I am having one problem though. I am suddenly bruising very easily. Is this due to less padding or should I be more concerned? I started a size 32 was very snug and I am now wearing a 22-24. I hope everyone has a great Halloween!! Guest guest
Hi , My Dr told me to get the regular shot and then the h1n1 when it comes out in Oct. We have to do everything we can to protect ourselves. I had to give up my greyhound three years ago when I was first diagnosed. He just required too much walking and I could not care for him. Fortunately I was able to place him with someone who loves him dearly to this day. But in June of this year I adopted a 9 year old rescue terrier mix named Jed. This was one of the best things I could have ever done. He had a pretty wretched life prior to being rescued. He had surgery to repair a fractured hip and pelvis, was treated for heartworm and is now happy and healthy. He's calm, quiet and very affectionate. I realize that not all rescues turn out this well but I would highly recommend considering a rescue pet whenever possible. It's a great experience to give a home to any animal that needs one so desperately! I know how sick so many of you are it seems like such a bad thing to ask form you. My sweet Cassie was brought to the vet for a Senior exam and blood work and the vet called today and asked me to bring her back as soon as possible to have her blood drawn for another CBC. The last test showed something abnormal in her red blood cells but can't remember what and she had very few platelets.. My vet said she has only seen this abnormal blood test in a screening blood test once before many, many years ago and she wants to make sure it isn't a lab mistake before she prescribes prednisone for her. Prednisone is so terrible for CAssie because she is so overweight now! She weighs 23 pounds and she is supposed to weight 12 pounds and the use of this drug will be so hard on her-and me! I will have to cook for her and make sure her diet is devoid of too much fat and find things she can eat to squelch her prednisone appetite. But failure to treat will be her death. So, I am asking for prayers that the lab made a mistake. Thank you, Joyce Rudy AZ birds>
Guest guest
, You should check with your doctor but most doctors that I know of along with the CDC agree that people like us, with a serious underlying medical condtion should get both the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 vaccine. We are at very high risk for respiratory complications from the flu and the vaccines provide significant protection. My 2 cents? Get the shots!
