What do you mean, why is brandy legal?

is not legal. It has sugar in it. That's why no sherry, cordials,

liqueurs, or brandy. They all have sugar.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Avoid beer.

Very dry wine is permissible. If a sweeter wine is desired, add a crushed

saccharin tablet or sweeten with honey.

Occasionally gin, rye, Scotch, bourbon, vodka, etc. No sherry, cordials,

liqueurs, or brandy.

Club soda is permissible as a mixer since it has no added sugar.

I believe that was a typo - from the contents of the post, she meant it

the other way, Brand is illegal and the other alcohols are. (Well,

except the ones that aren't, like beer, etc.)
