Why on Earth is this legal and other alcohols not? What do you mean, why is brandy legal? is not legal. It has sugar in it. That's why no sherry, cordials, liqueurs, or brandy. They all have sugar. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES Avoid beer. Very dry wine is permissible. If a sweeter wine is desired, add a crushed saccharin tablet or sweeten with honey. Occasionally gin, rye, Scotch, bourbon, vodka, etc. No sherry, cordials, liqueurs, or brandy. Club soda is permissible as a mixer since it has no added sugar. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle

That stinks that you didn't even know it was illegal. Has it given you a reaction? Hopefully if it did, you'll come out of it quickly! I believe that was a typo - from the contents of the post, she meant it the other way, Brand is illegal and the other alcohols are. (Well, except the ones that aren't, like beer, etc.) Mara
