I forgot to say that I eat salmon too.To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Thu, May 20, 2010 10:32:10 PMSubject: Really Big question-supplements

I'm trying hard to figure this out. I'm now down to: chicken/turkey broth, chicken/turkey/beef, carrots, squash, zucchini, pureed strawberries, stewed prunes, yogurt (about 1 c/day), tiny bit of cheese, avocado, coconut oil, papaya, CLO, vit D drops, orange juice. I pulled eggs out last Sun because a couple weeks ago everything was working like a charm. Haven't gone to the bathroom that well since... never. But then I added a bit of broccoli, green beans, and almond butter. Don't know if that's what did it but my BMs went down to hardly anything again. I didn't know what else to do. And if that wasn't bad enough in the past day & 1/2 my gas has progressively gotten worse. I can't cut much more out of the diet. I'm going back to the electrolyte

drink and baths.I'd like to add tomato juice (for flavoring for food) but don't know if that's a great idea or not.HERE are my questions:1. BROMELAIN: Should I stay on Bromelain? 2. MAGNESIUM: Should I go back on Oxy Cleanse Magnesium: I realized that I was only taking 2pills/day when the bottle said 2 pills/3X day. I took it for 4 weeks. I haven't taken that in a week. Should I start up and do the 3X/day? And if so, for how long?3. LDN: I found someone who will write a prescription for LDN. Should I ask for the 4.5 dose?4. C BOULARDII: Has anyone ordered S. Boulardii from vitacost? (http://www.vitacost.com/NutriCology-Saccharomyces-boulardii)5.

MULTIVITAMIN: a. This one is legal but $30/month: http://www.giprohealth.com/scdcomplete.aspx (6 pills/day) b. I saw this one on Lucy's site. It's cheaper so I'd prefer this one. (And it's only 1 pill/day)CAN I TAKE ALL OF THESE AT THE SAME TIME?Is there anything else?????I have a bottle of SUPER ENZYME (http://www.nowfoods.com/Products/ProductsbyCategory/Category/M003112.htm?cat=Digestive%20Support). Should I take this with food? I don't ever feel like food isn't digesting but what do I know at this

point. THANK you. I need your help. I'm sorry it's a loaded question but I've been saving up my thoughts.UC-c 12/09

Hey :)I'm sorry I don't have answers to most of your questions, however I'm thinking that your almond butter is a little advanced and might be what threw you. That would be my guess. Those green beans are probably the easiest of the broccoli/green beans/almond butter, although looking back at the stages on pecanbread.com (http://pecanbread.com/p/how/stages.html) broccoli is actually listed as more advanced than almond butter. I'd watch that broccoli.

Also, the enzyme you listed with a link, that now foods super enzyme, has croscarmellous sodium in it's inactives, which is illegal, and I've had a bad time with that one. I would _not_ take it.And for the multivitamin, you didn't provide a link for the one at lucy's kitchen so I'm not really sure which one it was, but if you are looking for a cheaper one than the $30 a month giprohealth, you could try the Freeda, it can be bought at

http://www.koshervitamins.com/shop/stores_app/Browse_Item_Details.asp?showpage=1 & page_id=23 & Item_ID=2365

for $26.96 (plus shipping which I think is not too bad) which is a 60 day or two month supply, about half the cost you were concerned about. I would highly recommend that.Actually, looking at lucy's kitchen shop the only multivitamin I see is the freeda. According to Freeda, the dose is 3 a day, but I see on Lucy's page it says Elaine recommends 1 a day? I really don't know what to think about that. To get the full dose of the multivitamin you need three a day, so if you just took 1 you would be getting 1/3 of the vitamins/minerals. I take 3 a day, I would not want less. I guess if you are having trouble tolerating vitamins less might be helpful. Maybe someone who knows more about what Elaine was thinking can chime in on this? anyways, personally, I would not consider 1/3 of a multivitamin ideal..

Anyways, I'm really glad things were working for you so great for awhile, I think that is a great sign, and I encourage you to keep up the great work and cautiously restablize yourself and cautiously proceed with the diet. I really think you are on a good track! :)

Best wishes! :)

I'm going to order the vitamins today. For those who take multivitamins from freeda, do you take 1 or 3?To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Fri, May 21, 2010 3:44:01 PMSubject: Re: Really Big

personally, I would not consider 1/3 of a multivitamin ideal..It makes sense to me. I mean, if you're taking all three a day, you're getting at least 100% of your DV of most of the vitamins and minerals, but I would think we get plenty of vitamins and minerals from actual foods in our diet. The SCD foods seem to be pretty nutrient dense, and if you're eating enough of a variety of foods, I would think you would be getting most of your vitamins and minerals that way. I can definitely see where you might want to take the full dose of a multi if you still have very limited food choices, though.
