Nadine,

Congratulations!!!! I am preop, so I can't help you with the

miserable feeling part, other than to say post op from my total knee

replacement i gained 10 pounds from day I entered till release 7 days

later. about a week and a half, it all dropped on one day. Oh, I

have a girlfriend who has a starting weight same as yours, and in 5

months she has lost 160 pounds! She looks fantastic. Hold the faith

girlfriend. It is a miracle surgery!

Gentle hugs,

Theresa

I gained about 25 lb in the hospital. All fluids. It came off and my

weight dropped.

I started sipping soda pretty early on post op. Just a sip or so. I

was pretty nauseated for a while and that subsided. Have faith in

the process. I am a true believer in staying off the scale unless

there is a medical reason you have to weigh. Otherwise weight

monthly.. the next time on Nov 2nd. The people I know who so this

seem more relazed and happy and save themselves the hassle of the

normal ups and downs of weight loss over the month.

Best to you. Welcome to the other side. It does get better.
