Did you have to appeal at all? We were denied for our autistic son and

I am really curious how you got it :-0) Good for you!

SSI

Liam was approved for SSI.. I am sooo happy. We just got a check in the

mail

with back pay from when we applied back in July...

That will help so much, now we can get the car fixed.. Hey it is for

Liam

because without a decent car we can not get him to all his doctors

appointments...He has at least 2 a month, some months more!I am not sure

exactly how much the monthly checks will be, but it really doesn't

matter,

we mostly applied to help with his medicine co pays...

Nope I did not have to appeal... I am not sure what basis he was approved on

but he has multiple disabilities..

He is diagnosed SGA..and you can qualify if your are short stature under the

3%..BUT it is a hard diagnose to get approved on!! .

He also has epilepsy, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, He is Hearing

impaired....

So I guess it was a no brainier that he qualified under one or more of those

..

As I said I don't know which one or ones qualified him, but if I had to

guess I would say the epilepsy....

But I was totally expecting to get denied the first time, as I was told that

is the normal. They deny the first time and see if you appeal.

hey jamie!!!

we didnt have to appeal. we got approved right away, the only thing

was it does go by your income and they wouldnt give us a check for

the first 2 months after we filed since my husband made to much in

overtime at that point. i also think it has to do with how well

your doctors respond to the info they have to send. good luck and

appeal!!!

Hi

When I went I was denied as well but I didn't appeal.

I was told that we made too much. Ha! If she knew my

debt she wouldn't have said that. And, my husband is

a seasonal worker - he landscapes so he is off for the

winter. When I went I did have 's medical

records with me. I wonder if she was just kinda

blowing me off because I literally sat at her desk for

10-15 minutes. If I get into growth hormone and more

expenses then I will try again.

Good Luck
