Decorating Mod Podge?

I went to the Craft Store to get some Mod Podge to put over the

stickers for my son's helmet but the people at the store said that if I

put that over the stickers then they will not come off at all. Is this

true? What should I put over the stickers to help them last longer than

just a few days?

Grady, 7 months, will get his band Monday

That's not true. If they are clear stickers, they should come off very

easily even with mod podge over them. If they are paper stickers, you

might need to use a little extra elbow grease, and/or some Goo Gone to

help get some of the adhesive off, but they'll still come off. If you

paint, then sticker, then mod podge, it will all peel off in big

pieces (one big piece if you want to test your talent and go slow!).

I'm not sure if this is the case with every kind of clear sticker and

it might depend on where it is placed on the helmet (flat area vs.

curved), but I have had a clear sticker on the side of my son's helmet

with no mod podge at all and it's lasted just fine for almost 8 weeks

(and he's almost 2 so he's very active). Depending on where you put

them though, they might start peeling up around the edges and the mod

podge can help keep them down, so you can reapply as needed.

Hope that helps!
