This book, " The Out of Sync Child " is it to read the

children or is it for parents information? I'm

noticing a sensory issue with , which we did not

bring up with Dr. H because I thought it was a passing

thing, but at the next visit I need to bring it up.

She gags at some food smells and often gags on and

throws up food. She will tell me that it bothered her

throat. So really I don't know with that if she

started to try to swallow to big of a piece or if she

feels like the food is touching her throat and it

bothers her. I'm thinking the latter. She also does

not like " smooshy " foods. Sometimes when she is

eating and something is soft which probaby shouldn't

be she spits it out or winds up throwing it up before

it's all the way down.

Any thoughts from anyone?

Hi B,

" The Out of Sync Child " is an informative book for parents. I just loaned my

copy out, or I could look at it to give you more info. I borrowed it from the

local library before I decided to buy it, and you can read the table of contents

and also excerpts of it on Amazon.com

The same author has a childrens book for reading level age 9 - 12, titled The

Goodenoughs Get In Sync. I haven't read the book, just saw it on Amazon.com so

I don't know much about it.

I agree that it would be a good idea to talk to Dr. H about it.
