I haven't tried Tropical Traditions but I recently bought Nutiva coconut virgin oil.  It makes me nauseas.  I have been going through two jars of Artisana coconut butter (the coconut is blended back into the oil and nothing is added they say, it's extra virgin raw coconut) since December.  It has never bothered me.  I don't eat *tons* of it; more like a once a day thing.  Why would the oil bother me and the butter not if anyone knows.  I noticed the Nutiva has a remote taste of the coconut butter but nowhere near as strong.  Good but I'm wondering if it's brand, fat content (which should be the same, right?).  Anyway, hate to waste it--I'll put it in my hair or use it as lotion at night if I can't find a way to use it.

Has anyone had this same reaction to cocoa butter?

Does anyone have a good source for shampoo/lotion (I checked TT and they don't have shampoo) that would have the same medicinal effects?
