I am wondering if anyone reuses their shredded coconut that they use for coconut

milk? As I get a routine down I am going to save the shreds for my friend to

feed his chickens but I was wondering if there is something I can do with it?

I wouldn't use it myself. It may have stuff in it that the chickens can

digest, but you've gotten most of the nutrition out by making the coconut

milk, and what's left is nothing but fiber. Too much fiber can feed the

bad bacteria in your gut.

Marilyn,

Too much fiber post bowel resection would be an utter tragedy for me. Thanks

for pointing this out!

They are great in meatballs/meatloaf as a sub for breadcrumbs. Much, much

better than almond meal.

Also, you can roll the meatballs in them and the meatballs come out really nice

that way.

Also, you can use them to coat chicken breasts - I use the shredded coconut,

almond meal and sesame seeds in a 2:2:1 ratio.

Also, add it back into smoothies.

I didn't know that. How much fiber is too much fiber?

Thanks,

What is a good rule of thumb before eating something?

Afterwards, it's pain, too many trips to the restroom and doubled over.

Depends on the individual. What's too much for you might not be for some

one else.

Eating a sensible SC diet should eliminate too much fiber.
