Chattanooga activity plans

Hi everyone,

Jane has been working on planning a couple of activities while we are in Chattanooga. We've had a change to these plans which I want everyone to know about. We now have a group reservation for Saturday October 31'st on the Southern Belle Riverboat Cruise. Here is the information Jane sent me!

"October 31st Southern Belle River Boat Ross’s Landing Chattanooga, TN

We are going on the 8:30am-12:30pm Fall Leaf Tour because the afternoon tour did not have any 1st floor availability There is plenty of room in the one we are going to, We have to load the boat at 8 am. (We don’t need any stress and we are avoiding a crowd of 200 + people who are already booked on the afternoon tour)

Call for reservations: (Don’t wait)

1- (you can speak to Vicky or Joanne or someone in group reservations)

Tell them you are with the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Group (it’s in my name- Jane Jarrett)

Cost: $32.00 per person (includes brunch, gratuity, tax) inclusive. (Group rate)

Just think how exciting it will be to get up early and spend time together! I am looking forward to it!"

Thanks to Jane for making these arrangements. Please make your reservations asap as these cruises fill up very fast! Going on the morning trip will then leave the afternoon free to hang out and rest back at the hotel or do anything else you may want to before we all go out for supper on Saturday evening.

We are working on tentative plans to go to the aquarium on Sunday for anyone who wants to. Will get back to you all on that asap.

Please make your reservations for this exciting cruise on the Tennessee River. I have personally cruised on the Tennessee River in the past but I have not been on the Southern Belle. Anything where food is involved sounds great to me. And Bingo!

Food and Bingo don't compare to the beautiful view. For those who don't

know, the river winds fairly narrowly through an area with mountains to

the side. The area south of the starting point is known as River Canyon.

People cruise all the way from above Knoxville down and come up from as

far south as Mobile. There is an official gathering place with crafts

and much more south of where the cruise will be going. I don't know if

the guide will mention " suck creek " as you pass through that area, but

thats where I lived on the river, in a condo there. That area was known

in the old days of the river for basically sucking boats up. Swirling

water formed where the creek flowed into the river and literally tore

boats apart as lore goes.
