Guest guest
Beth, CONGRATULATIONS! HIP, HIP, HOORAY! I hope you know how much you inspire each one of us - Listening to your reports during your time in the rehab program motivated me to make an appointment and I went for an evaluation last Monday for the Piedmont Pulmonary Rehab Program. It's part of their Cardio program but they are working to develop a certified Pulmo program. It doesn't come close to the Duke program, but it is a start. We will celebrate with a cup of coffee when I come to Duke in December. Dorothy Reinecke Fayetteville, GA 66 - DX VATS 7/05 - UIP 7/05 Courage doesn't always roar. Guest guest
MB I vote you for first team All-American..... I think its incredible and while everyone here may not be capable of your level of accomplishment, almost everyone here is capable of some level of exercise and whatever that level might be its beneficial. For everyone who says there is no treatment for PF, they should never overlook rehab. It's not a cure, but its a treatment. > > Today was HUGE for me. Guest guest
Congratulations! We knew you would do well and challenge yourself onward and upward.I've learned so much about rehab from reading all your posts and others replies; I'm looking forward to it myself.I got my invitation in the mail today from the rehab at our local hospital. My pulmo prescribed it for me! And I got great news from the insurance company----they will pay for unlimited visits. So it looks like I'll be joining in the conversations on rehab before too long.Good luck in graduate school!RoxanneRoxanne, 59, South Carolina 2006 Asthma/ PF 2008 PF/ Sarcoidosis/Gerd I pray you enough.....Subject: I did it!To: Breathe-Support Date: Friday, October 9, 2009, 7:04 PM Today was HUGE for me.
