Guest guest
Dee, I think I know which list and which post you are refering too. Here is my reply to that post or one similar to it: Walter was my advocate in my fight with the insurance company, and I paid my flat fee for services. I was very happy with the outcome, and basically Walter did what he said he would do. I was able to get my company to pre-approve me for the DS, which is more difficult to get approvals for. I will not comment on the content of this post, as I do not know any details. I am not trying to defend Walter or to say that your concerns are not valid. I would like to perhaps bring to light that there is only one lawyer (that I have ever heard), that provides this type of service and he provides this service for a flat fee, which in my opinion, is reasonable for legal work and affordable to most people. Because of this he probably has an extremely busy practice with clients from all over the US, and is most likely up to his ears in work. I am only thinking this because of my experience with him. I know he is involved in lobbing congress for changes in health insurance to benefit all obese people, and he is involved in Shape up America and the National Institute of Health (NIH), to change the guidelines for surgery and one of the changes to recommend the DS as a effective surgery for weight loss (so the insurance companies can no longer say that it is experimental or investigational). So this adds up to one very busy person. Just my .02. > Cross-posting. > > Has anyone here had an appeal done with Walter, our > obesity attorney? Guest guest
Thank you for replying. I was so shocked at what I read and had to ask around. I'd heard so many good things about Walter but really couldn't remember anyone actually saying they won an appeal with Walter. Thanks, dee --- editorking@... wrote: > Dee, > > I think I know which list and which post you are > refering too. Guest guest
Hi Dee- My experience with Walter was similar to yours. I e-mailed him and never got a response. My friend is in need of an attorney and I passed the info about him to her but that was my experience. I hope others did better.
