Guest guest
We are not meant to stay on intro for more than a few days. Have you looked at the suggested stages on pecanbread.com ?(note this site is non dairy, for kids with ASD. We can use the cow's milk SCD yogurt and legal cheese as tolerated) You are ready to advance to some foods on stage 1. Add some beef patties and chicken. To gain weight add carbs, Try some squashes with butter and honey, add coconut oil to dishes if tolerated. Try some very ripe bananas with yogurt and honey. If you tolerate some smooth nut butters that will add calories. Try the nut butter brownie recipe on pecanbread.com PJ > > Hi everyone, I have been flaring for about a month now, but I think I am finally starting to feel a little better:) I have been eating the intro diet - mainly soup, jello, occasional yogurt and apple muffins (not intro, but needed some substance) for most of this time. I have lost a lot of weight and my doctor really wants me to gain weight or at least stop losing it. I am looking for suggestions of food to eat that would be high calorie, but still easy to digest. Any tips would be great. Thanks in advance! >
Guest guest
also try Avocado. Very tastey with hamburger patty or you can put olive oil and salt on it and eat it that way. Butternut squash with as much butter melted on it as you like will add calories. I didn't start gaining weight back until I added almond flour in. Very high in calories, but with the avocado, squash, bananas, ect. you should at least be able to stop losing.-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 8 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 12 pills a day Prednisone 40mg entocort With vit E mixed inBack to intro/stage 1 for now.To: BTVC-SCD From: smdsmom2008@...Date: Wed, 31 Mar 2010 20:35:11 +0000Subject: Re: High Calorie intro foods We are not meant to stay on intro for more than a few days.
