Guest guest
I saw Dr. on of Duke University Medical Center about ten days ago. Dr. on is also Beth's doctor. He's considered one of the best. Today I received his report of my visit and I would like to share it with you. In a condensed form, of course. Mr. Marshall is doing quite well...serologies were suprisingly notable for an ANA of 1:2560 and a positive anti-CCP antibody with a significant impairment in his DLCO (46%). He has relatively preserved spirometry with a fairly significant impairment in his DLCO (46%). He briefly desaturated to 88% on a six minute walk, but for the most part maintained saturations above 90%. H ewalked 1400 feet. He has no signs or symptoms of connective tissue disease; no signs or symptons of pulmonary hyertension or congestive heart failure. And finally, pulmonary testing shows relatively stable values. This is a short versin of his report. In my reading it is generally a very positive report, although I must admit I do not understand all of it. Perhaps Beth and/or Bruce can give me a layman's version. My opinion is that for an 80 year-old man who is still working 7 days a week I'm doing damn good!
