OMG IS IT GOOD!!!! here it is...Hey guys! I just discovered a snack that, to me, tastes just like a chick fil a sandwich! Well, without the bread, lettuce, and tomato, but you could add those things (SCD legal) if you want. What I do is just take some leftover chicken, top with a combo of gouda cheese and cheddar cheese, and stick it in the toaster oven to let the cheese melt. Top with honey mustard (equal parts honey & mustard) and mayo, and some black pepper. I think the smokey flavor of the gouda plus the honey mustard taste makes it taste like that special honey BBQ chick fil-a sauce. At least to me it does! Guest guest
Thanks Alyssa! I found cheap goat cheese yesterday. I'm going to try it again to see how it goes. If not, I'll get some gouda ;-). OMG IS IT GOOD!!!! Lol =) I'm glad you liked it!! I actually got the idea from a non-SCD friend I have, and adapted it to be SCD. Just an FYI though, I tried this cold as a chicken salad type thing without melting the cheese; NOT the same at all. Definitely needs to be melted =) Peace =)Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 30 mg 1x per day
Guest guest
This IS really good! I made a lettucewich this way today only instead of chicken I used meatloaf. I do agree, the cheese MUST be melted!
