Guest guest
Hi B., Yes, it is a full day program. They go from 8:30 to 2 PM (but only until noon for the first two weeks). They are used to that type of schedule, since their current pre-school program is also full day. Guest guest
hey judith!! glad to hear you didnt have to put up a big fight to get what jason needs and deserves for school!! i hope him and becca will be fine next year as well!! i have christopher's iep meeting today, they are mainstreaming him next year into the regular ed. preschool 5x a week. he is currently in the preschool disabled class 5x a week. the one good thing is the teacher and asst. teacher are the same for both classes so she knows him and knows his needs as far as snacks and such. the only thing that concernes me is this year there were 30 kids in the reg. ed preschool. some came 2 days, some 3 days and some all 5. i hope it doesnt confuse him or mess up the routine to much with every day a different amount of kids there. i will find out more today!! and then after school gets out june 10th i have to have a meeting for nicholas. i had him tested for auditory processing disorder and it came back he does have it. the school though thinks he is fine and not having any troubles. he was also found to have some vision perception/tracking problems. we will see what happens with that meeting. jodie c
Guest guest
Hi Jodie, Good luck with christopher's meeting. Hopefully he will have no trouble adjusting to the mainstream class. My kids have also dealt with the " not every day " kids. They never had any trouble with it. Sorry to hear that is also having problems, but I am sure that you are on top of it. It is always easier when you have a diagnosis. Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) 5 year old twins
Guest guest
Hi Judith, It sounds like the IEP appointments went well. Congratulations! Willie will get one year of preschool starting in the fall and I'm so afraid he won't be able to keep going for 3 hours at a time. I hope to be wrong and that our district will be as accommodating as yours sounds. Ours is broke and cutting lots of programs. Thanks for the ray of hope:) Kathy (Jack, 6, and Willie, 4, RSS, ght, Periactin, Zantac-not working, 24.3 lbs-down! and 91 cm-up!)
