Guest guest
I've been on the diet 70 days and my husband and I are going to Hawaii in two weeks. I'm very good about sticking to the diet, but I'm worried it will be difficult to find legal things to eat once I get there. Our hotel room doesn't have a microwave, but it does have a small refrigerator. I'm wondering if I can bring boiled eggs and avocado for the plane ride, and once there when going out to restaurants I could order meats cooked plain (bring my own sea salt) and well cooked veggies with butter or olive oil. Am I on the right track here? Since I have candida issues I think this might be a challenging trip because I can't eat any fruits except lemons. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :-) I really want this trip to be wonderful and not have any flares. Guest guest
Avoid chicken because much of it is processed with added broth and flavorings. Be sure to ask if meat and fish is marinated before cooking. Avoid " butter " because it is often flavored margarine that the restaurant calls butter. Usually the more expensive cuts of meat are the safest because they are not marinated or flavored. You should be able to get great fish. Better to spend more on meals than feel sick on vacation. A big thing is Luao pork- I did not eat it, but it just looked like they put a whole pig in a pit and cooked it-if it is just smoked without flavoring- it's an option. For breakfast there is always poached or boiled eggs. Maybe you could pick up some canned tuna, cheese, nut butters, at a local store for emergencies. Enjoy!
