Guest guest
, I have been down the same road as you have.....supportive family, some obese others skinny and one sister who has a weight problem and tells my other sister " well, she took the easy way out " which made me laugh in hysterics! There is nothing easy about this but its easy in the sense we wont have to diet anymore. Its the attitude you wouldnt think of telling someone who needs open heart surgery...... " stop eating things that are bad for you, and excersize more " that type of thing. My family support has been amazingly wonderful but they can never measure up to the love, support and knowledge (as you so well put it) from this group of wonderful people here on this board. We all have a common bond that will last for life, even if we never meet each other in person.....we will always be with them in spirit...... The journey is made so much easier when we know our " brothers and sisters " here are rooting for us and praying for us, with or without swinging chickens, dogs and children LOL Hugs, Judie
Guest guest
Sue, Im in total agreement with you on raising the consciousness of others about obesity. I think thats so very important. People just dont understand the problems of obesity and the fact that it is hereditary for tne most part and usually has nothing to do with putting the fork down! Bad choices we have made, yes, but so do those who are skinny. Ive seen many skinny people eat burgers, fried chicken and milkshakes and they get heart attacks yet nobody chews them out for that. Its time to educate the public and be very vocal about it! Hugs, Judie
