Hi,

My daughter a fleshy piece of tissue on the gums just in front of her two front

teeth. It is the piece of tissue that contects the gum to the upper lip. She is

six now and I am thinking of finding someone to take it off soon.

When she was little, it wasn't very noticable to all our friends and family. But

the world is a big place and Mercedes needs to have fewer obstacles in this big

world.

We have appointment coming up to see the oral surgeon to remove the front baby

teeth. I plan to ask him if it is within his specialty to remove the tissue too.

Hi. Autumn went to her Geneticist today and he noticed her upper

is too big and therefore her teeth cannot touch becuase she has a ridge

of gums between her two upper teeth. Does anyone elses kids have

this? Just wondering if it is an RSS type thing, because no one else

in our family has it! He said it's easy to fix, a cosmetic type

surgery thing where it is cut away at the dentist (when older). I had

just never heard of it.

Hi ,

(14mos) also has a piece of tissue between his front two teeth (frenum

attachment) thats pretty low (meaning its right smack down the middle of his two

teeth, and if you check out a " normal " mouth its a bit higher under the lip) and

therefore MAY cause the gap he has (and can also cause gum recession). His two

front teeth are pretty big too. I'll probably get it snipped later (that usually

helps, and isn't usually not that big of a deal, usually). Anyway, just a little

info.....

mom to 14 mos RSS >13lbs.
