Dr Dennis and Consult Visits

Hi!!

This is Lori and I moderate a support group for Dr Dennis in

Atlanta. We also have our own yahoo group.

I wanted to let everyone know that Dr 's office is now keeping a

waiting list of patients who need a consult appt, and then as they

open up, they are calling and scheduling. This is a much needed

improvement.

Also, on some websites there was a misunderstanding about Dr

not taking patients outside of Georgia.

He is taking patients from anywhere in the country. He does the DS

lap and has a very good record. I had my surgery in June. I was

back to work in about two weeks.

The only requirement that Dr has, is that he wants you to have

your pulmonology consult with the pulmonologist who will be seeing

you in Kennestone hospital, that way if there are any respiratory

needs, the doc will be familiar with you.

Also Kennestone hospital is buying a bigger OR table so he will be

able to take patients over 500lbs. His office recently bought a

scale that can weigh patients up to 800lbs, even on a wheel chair.

There is also the possiblity that soon, there will be another surgeon

in his office doing the DS. Kennestone hospital and the medical

community have really come around and understand how beneficial it is

to offer this surgery to patients.
