Guest guest
I did. My doc told me I had to get on humira or remicaid and that my meds prob weren't helping much. I forgot to take my meds for a few days and realize I was feeiling better. I started taking them again and felt worse. Took my self off and I felt better again. I stayed off after that. I haven't been back to my GI since I started SCD. She said diet had nothing to do with crohns. Guest guest
Hello gang. I'm new to SCD and like many of you, after 4 weeks or " jumping the gun " (although even doing SCD incorrectly proved to me the benefits of the diet by experiencing a decrease in gas and bloating almost immediately, not to mention having lost some of my " prednisone weight " in the past few weeks!) I am back to trying to follow the Intro stage to a tee...my problem is that I seem to gag just thinking about the chicken soup, let alone enjoying eating it (which is surprising to me as I used to LOVE non-SCD chicken soups of all kinds, even homeade, but mainly with the noodle and super salty stock of course). I am thrilled to now see I may not be crazy as others have complained of this feeling about the soup as well, and excited to try this Beef Roast recipe! Thank you so much for sharing, not being much of a cook myself, I was daunted at the task of how to switch from chicken soup which had a clear recipe in the BTVC book, to figuring out how to make a beef version that PecanBread site says is OK for intro. Will let you know how it turns out. -Dana UC since 2007 Lialda since 2007 switched to Balsalazide in 2009 4 waves of Prednisone trials (seemed to become dependant) Imuran since 01/2010 luckily to now have found SCD (trying to get it right still though) since 03/09/2010 > > > I am now thinking that I should have done the Introduction properly but then chicken is a problem and I don't have diarrhea. I also cannot understand why I need to introduce fruit slowly or with caution if it is legal and I don't seem to have a problem with it. > > I know I am going round in circles with this topic but I assume you will understand my dilemma. > > >
Guest guest
To all of you who posted in reply to my question, thanks a lot. I will try to do the beef roast - although I don't know what a crock pot is but I will find out (I am in the UK). However, my lovely people, I still don't have an answer to why you have to introduce fruits with caution and/or slowly? And if they don't give me any grief do I need to worry about them?
