Guest guest
Oh No Sista.... what a drama for you to witness. I think the really hard thing with littlies is not being able to pick them up (my daughter did it & then years later my grandaughter did the same!) By the time of Zoe's accident the bandaging was entirely different. Nikki (in 1975)had a figure of 8 bandage strapped across her back from shoulder to shoulder. Zoe was encased in an elasticised 'Stocking' thingy keeping her bad arm still across her tummy. Much easier to live with! That was only back in 2003. Zoe loves feeling the lump left behind on her collarabone & she always checks out her Aunty Nikki's to find the same thing. We know how Zoe had her accident (She fell out of her pram) ..but I never knew what my own daughter had done..she just started suddenly screaming whenever I went to pick her up....she was learning to walk at the time ..mmmm ...the medicos had her x-rayed from head to toe & I realised to my horror that they were checking for child bashing injuries.....not a good look when the mother says " I dunno how it happened"......I felt like a CRIM! Now we laugh about the memory! Sara will proably end up prud of her lump too! love, in Oz >> Hi everyone..I've been sort of busy..Sara ( 19 months) fell off the very > low sofa with her mom sitting right there> and broke her collar bone...a green stick fracture but still a broken > collar bone on such a little baby.> Thank goodness that my son Sam had been invited to dinner and walked > into the house at the most perfect time to help!> He called us.
