Guest guest
I almost feel silly for asking this question, but all the posts about low blood sugar severely affecting behavior gets me curious. has had 2 OGTT tests that were essentially normal. Therefore, I assumed he did not have blood sugar problems (hypoglycemia). Is this a correct assumption? When he was much younger, I am sure he suffered from this, but doctors didn't seem to be as concerned as I was. He used to get cold and clammy & go into a coma-like state with many of his g-tube feedings. This doesn't happen anymore, but he does have some severe behavioral/emotional issues such as moodiness, irritability, anger, inability to deal with frustration, etc. What are the chances this is due to blood sugar levels, and if it were due to low blood sugar, would medications to treat these symptoms be ineffective?
