Guest guest
Hello my name is Claire and I am a 30 year old with RSS. I'm 4' 6 " and I weigh 76 lbs. I've been a part of the RSS adult chat group for awhile and I finally made it to this one. I attended the convention last year and had a blast. I realize there are no plans for RSS adults this year, but I plan on attending the convention anyway and my parents are going to come as well. My mom wishes that there would have been this kind of support when she was raising me and so I think it will be nice for she and my dad to come to the convention. In addition to RSS I have a condition called Mayer- Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome which I recently discovered that Magic has information on this disorder as well. It is a reproductive system disorder. I am the oldest of six children and I am the only one with RSS. I am currently a second year Ph.D. student in social work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I've been fortunate to have an array of experiences in my life including volunteering in an orphanage in Cochabamba, Bolivia for nine months after I graduated college. The greatest gift that my parents have given to me is my independence. I was on growth hormone for awhile; I believe that I started taking it really late like at age 11 or so. It didn't do much, but I'm okay with that. I look forward to the chats on this site and perhaps I can get my mom on the site as well. She was young when she had me and she had to kind of figure things out on her own without much help from doctors...but that was of course 30 years ago. Needless to say, I think my parents did a great job raising me! I hope that I can be a resource as the other adults have been and I am thankful for the support of this group as well. Guest guest
Hi Claire it is so great to know that you found us! I remeber you very well from the convention. I am Hannah's mom. You left a great impression on me with your positive spirit and attitude. Congratulations on all your success! I hope to give Hannah some of the same experiences so that she too will be a well balanced happy adult one day! yodo1974 wrote: Hello my name is Claire and I am a 30 year old with RSS.
