Guest guest
Roxanne, Don't ya just hate " know it all " " I am one step below God " doctors!!!?? My former PCP had alittle of that problem. When I went to him, after months of research, about WLS he told me that we needed to discuss my other choices for weight loss since surgery was a tragedy that people did to themselves! Notice I said " former " PCP!!! I have neither seen nor talked to him since!!(I had used him for a number of years.) I have found a wonderful doctor-alot closer to home-who told me up front that in his experience, he does not find any diet and exercise program works with the morbidly obese and that though he has not researched DS surgery he agrees that it may be just what will help me control this disease. He wrote me a wonderful letter requesting that my insurance company approve the surgery for me. He read the information I gave him about the surgery and found it very interesting!! " It is a shame that we must have such a fight, but I feel that it will be worth it! Good Luck...keep us posted! Jerry, Southern Gal from Louisiana waiting on approval P.S. Thank God that he missed his " calling " to be a therapist!! No telling how many " minds " have been saved due to this!!! > >Reply-To: duodenalswitch >To: duodenalswitch >Subject: Re: Difficult Dr. " THE END " >Date: Sat, 03 Nov 2001 04:23:13 -0000 > > > > > > >I ASK.... > > >Where do doctors get the idea that DS is MORE restrictive in >eating?
