Guest guest
These are both subjects to be discussed and for everyone to carefully consider what is best for them. There are no universally correct answers and ultimately these are areas where you get sound medical advice, you consider all the issues themselves, and then you make your choice. When one tells you strongly that you should always get a biopsy or you should never get one or everyone should try prednisone or that prednisone never helps or tries to make the decision clear cut and obvious, talk to others. The decisions vary greatly based on individual specifics such as the exact nature of the disease, other conditions, ability to physically and emotionally tolerate certain things, age, general physical condition, interest in clinical trials, interest in a transplant, and so many other very personal issues. There isn't a right or wrong. There is what you individually determine is right or wrong for you. I use to ask a question to accounting and engineering job candidates on job interviews that whatever they answered I would then provide more information to prove they were wrong. The correct answer is I need more information. The correct response was to ask me more questions. It's sort of like saying whether one should buy or rent a house or buy or lease a car or on a more serious basis get married or no or have a child or not. I would also say to anyone considering these issues to always be willing to change your mind if situations change. > > Thanks Beth. I am a newbie too and this info clears up alot.
