Guest guest
I read several posts that mentioned that facial asymmetrie doesn't correct until the baby has almost outgrown the helmet if it corrects at all. Is that true? Has anybody seen correction in facial asymmetrie right from the start? I am obsessed with my daughter's face, almost to the point where I can't enjoy certain things because I always see the asymmetrie and it gets me down. Her head looks great, it's just that I want way more correction on her face for her sake. Thanks,
Guest guest
- My dd had mild/mod plagio but she has alot of facial asym. She wore 2 bands - and her asym was helped a bit - mostly in her eye and forhead area - her reall asyms were not fixed. It is my understanding that facial asym is corrected when the skul base is corrected - and that happens last. I guess it never happened for my dd. My dd also has tort and that contributes to the asym. I am including pics so you can see what I am talking about... it may or may not pertain to your baby. BTW - I know how focused we can be as moms - It was all I could see when I looked at her... but it does get better, becuase it is apart of her. I do still see it alot, but most do not. It gets easier with time. :-) View full size View full size View full size View full size View full size View full size View full size View full size View full size Jen and Luli - 2.5 years old Left tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/ When did you see improvements to facial asymmetry?
