It slices so cleanly and neatly I almost don't have to wash it after slicing. http://www.cutco.com/products/product.jsp?itemGroup=1764 If you think you're ordering one or two, the young man (Cutco rep) I got mine from is a very nice young man and deserves the business. Contact me off list and I'll give you his contact information. (It's scary, you know... Guest guest
How much is the knife? I sold cutcos for a couple months back in the day when I was in college. Although a crummy job, I do have a very nice set of knives to this day. The site didn't have the pricing though.michelleTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, April 14, 2010 5:49:51 PMSubject: Re: Cheese Slicers At 04:54 PM 4/14/2010, you wrote: So, obviously I need a cheese slicer. Although a crummy job, I do have a very nice set of knives to this day. The site didn't have the pricing though. The Santoku style is $58; the traditional one is $66. Like I said, expensive, but they apparently last forever. The guarantee is pretty impressive. If I have the information correctly, one lady, who had seven feet of water in her house after Hurricane Katrina, had her entire set of knives replaced. The problem was less that three weeks in contaminated water had ruined the knives, but more that you couldn't guarantee getting them safely clean again. So the company replaced them. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
I love this one. I haven't tried it on hard cheeses. Search Good Grips Cheese Slicer on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Good-Grips-28781-Cheese-Slicer/dp/B00004OCK5 But, if I ever break it, I will get one of these: Search Bamboo Cheese Slicer on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Home-Bamboo-Cheese-Slicer/dp/B002BZTU5S/ref=sr_1_\ 2?ie=UTF8 & s=home-garden & qid=1271328851 & sr=1-2 I added the search for information on Amazon in case the links didn't come out.
