We are still accepting Scholarship Applications for the 21st East Coast Migrant Stream Forum!! The deadline for submission is September 2, 2008 (no exceptions). Scholarships can be granted to individuals or can be shared by more than one person per organization. Award recipients will be notified via email by September 8th. Also, every year NCCHCA awards the Steve Shore Community Catalyst Award at the East Coast Migrant Stream Forum. Named after NCCHCA's second Executive Director, Steve Shore, this award honors the work of an individual, program or agency whose work has incited positive change in the health and wellness of the farmworker community. This year's award will recognize an individual, program, or agency, directly or indirectly involved in farmworker health in the New England States (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont). We encourage you to nominate someone you feel is deserving of this award! Nominations are due by September 5, 2008.
