Guest guest
Last night my sisters came over with my nieces (3) who are 9 (almost 10), 9 and 8. After awhile I had to put the and Kelli in the bath tub. As I was putting lotion on and she was standing up, my 9 year old niece (who for the longest time was very trim and still is but her ped told her to lose 5-10 pounds). Anyway she's looking at and says " you are very skinny. " I was shocked that my niece was recognizing this because as I said she was skinny growing up. I looked at who started laughing. So I said to did you hear what Alyssa said and she said yes. I told her that's because she needs to eat better and more and she said ok. It seems that whatever her older cousins say and do make an impression on her of course. Dr. H has. I wanted to know, did I handle the comment n the right manner? We know is thin and small but sometimes we really don't see how much until you see her from about a 20 foot distance and with other kids. It was weird to hear it from another child to see it.
