Guest guest
Hi Charlie's head size was comparatively large at birth and remains way larger than the rest of him at 21 months. He had a very flat head for the first year of life but has a more rounder shape as he gets older. He also has angular bits and the aerial view is very triangular. He has lots of hair though and I think that makes his shape look less angular. What explanations do your doctors give for the smaller head size and quick catch up? Guest guest
, Jonah's head was large in comparison to his body at birth. Has Autumn's head continued to grow, but has just remained in the 50%? I know that it is important for the head to continue to grow even if the body lingers. head size at birth > > > Hi. Guest guest
Hi Alison. Thanks for your reply. The only info the docs gave me about her head size at birth was IUGR and then when she was out she could grow properly so it grew quickly to what it was supposed to be. That's when they became concerned of a problem because her head shot up after birth and her body remained far behind. They just couldn't figure out why until a geneticist saw her. I do wonder still though because most RSS kids I read about were born with larger heads for their body. Her head continues to remain far ahead of her body and is tracking the 50% while her body or weight is not on the %'s! mom to Autumn > > > > Hi. Guest guest
Hi . Thanks for your reply! Yes, Autumn's head growth is very good and dependable, tracking the 50% for her age and has grown a lot, her body is just nowhere near! If only her weight gain was as predictable as her head growth! mom to Autumn > , > Jonah's head was large in comparison to his body at birth.
